[Evangeline rifles through the corpse's pockets, unaffected by the brutal violence she just inflicted, and finds a key, which she promptly brings over to unlock the cage.]
Sore, but mostly because of this ill-fitting cage that ruffian thought was a reasonable show of hospitality for someone who was hoping to get even a cent off of me.
[However, the moment he's out of the cage, the first thing he does is put his hands on Evangeine's arms, both to steady himself and so that he can quickly give her a onceover. Just in case there are any signs of her having been roughed up that he missed during the brief moment they seperated the two of them to put Azul in that stupid cage.]
[He takes note of the bruises, his frown becoming more severe for a moment. At least until she says that, and his gaze flicks back to her face, a second of surprise in his expression from her words...
... and that is when Azul proceeds to suddenly lean forward so that he can press his mouth against hers, kissing her as hard as he can. Hope Eva doesn't mind the sudden burst of passion he's giving her here, before he pulls back again to speak.]
Perhaps this isn't the right time or place to say this, but... that was actually very attractive just now, watching you fight back against this troublesome captor like that...
-Well, I'm happy you think so, but I'd personally rather not make out next to a corpse, so... How about we save it until we get back to campus, and then you can show me your appreciation?
[Azul takes one of her hands in his and carefully lifts her arm up here so that he can look at the bruising there. His magipen was left behind at the school when they had been kidnapped, but he can at least risk a small amount of healing magic without worrying about overblot for now. Not enough to heal the bruises, but enough to alleviate the pain some for a little while as he concentrates, allowing some of his magic reserves to be tapped in for this, seeping out through his hands and transferring to her arm.
He does this for both arms before dropping his hands away with a sigh.]
Knowing Floyd in particular, I'm surprised that we haven't had him suddenly kicking down the door into here yet, but perhaps we are much deeper somewhere in the building than previously thought...
[But they probably shouldn't wait here for long in case the kidnapper had friends that come looking for them anytime soon, so.]
[Thankfully, they're able to get out of the building before any doors are broken down - and, oh, speaking of, look who's here probably preparing to commit incredible violence: the tweels.]

[Floyd, who is holding up what appears to be a large cinderblock tied to a rope while Jade casually holds a crowbar behind his back, pause in whatever it was they were about to do upon seeing the two of them...
And then, Floyd gives an annoyed whine and tosses aside the cinderblock, instead of going through whatever window or... poor person that cinderblock was about to be smashed against.]
"Aww man, already!? But we were just about to have some real fun here..."
[Jade gives his brother a consolitory pat on the shoulder before addressing the two of them.]
"Our sincerest apologies for not getting here sooner. Are you alright?"
"Oh, that doesn't surprise me to hear: Azul is a bit more delicate than most, after all, hence why we tried to come as quickly as we could before he was reduced to tears of frustration over anything too dire..."

I dealt with the situation just fine. Plus you have a lot of nerve saying that when you've shown up too late to be of any real use. Now how about you drop that crowbar and help Evangeline with taking care of those bruises she got for doing the actual work worth being praised for here?
[That at least causes Floyd to glance at Evangeline now, eyebrow raised.]

[Floyd whines loudly upon hearing this, not at all bothered by hearing that Evangeline killed a man in such a manner. Azul ignores him.]
Regardless, we've already wasted enough time here. [And then, in a moment of boldness, he carefully wraps his arms around one of Evangeline's own.] So, let's hurry up and return to school so that my hero can be treated and thanked properly for helping me.
"Damn Azul, getting all hot and bothered in front of us like that. Have you no shame?"
"Indeed, Floyd. I wonder if perhaps Azul regrets that we were not here sooner in order to further add to his perverse interest watching someone commit incredible acts of violence on his behalf here..."

Azul does however seem to become more serious again though, insisting that Evangeline is checked out properly by the medical team in the nurse's station first before anything else. Once both of them have been bandaged up and given the all clear that they are allowed to return to Octavinelle, Azul opens the door to his room to allow her entry.
Azul, rather than immediately latch on to her like it seemed he had been going to do earlier when he talked about "thanking her properly", instead simply holds her hand here, watching her carefully for any signs of exhaustion or the like for now.]
How are you feeling? Do you want to lie down and rest now that we're finally back?
[Evangeline submits to the checkup, mostly just to reassure Azul - it's no big deal, it's just a couple of bruises, but she doesn't want him to worry.]
[Azul looks a little stunned briefly at that remark, before he looks down at her hand in his.]

I mean, perhaps I shouldn't be so surprised, because I would likely have done the same if you had been the one shoved into that wretched cage by comparison. But still... you didn't hesitate at all to do whatever it took to get me out of there... I can't help but feel a little touched by that.
[Sure, Floyd and Jade obviously also would have done the same, but... this is different somehow. When they do it, Azul tends to get a little exasperated sometimes if it feels like they're getting carried away or that they treat it as simply a convenient excuse to intimidate or fight someone rather than because they wanted to save Azul. Evangeline though... there was no hint of that kind of tone to her actions.]
[Evangeline doesn't take enjoyment in violence for its own sake. A friendly spar, sure, that can be fun. But she has no desire to truly hurt people who haven't done something to earn it.
[Azul lifts her hand now to his lips so that he can place a kiss on the back of it, almost gentlemanly before he proceeds to turn her hand over and place more kisses to the palm of her hand, with a little more intent than just a brush of lips before he pulls back to speak.]
