His magipen was left behind at the school when they had been kidnapped, but he can at least risk a small amount of healing magic without worrying about overblot for now. Not enough to heal the bruises, but enough to alleviate the pain some for a little while as he concentrates, allowing some of his magic reserves to be tapped in for this, seeping out through his hands and transferring to her arm.
